The path from Ngong Ping Village will lead you to the Ngong Ping Piazza, where the Twelve Divine Generals are lined up. They are believed to be protectors of the Buddha. The Piazza is visible as soon as you passed though the archway of the Ngong Ping Village.
From the descending car to Ngong Ping Station, you will already see the Big Buddha and glimpse of the Ngong Ping Village. When I was preparing our itinerary, I thought this is a real village with the locals. What I have in mind the the village like what they showed in Kung Fun Panda (LOL).
Lined
up along the path to the Po Lin Monastery & the Big Buddha in
Ngong Ping are the statues of the Twelve Divine Generals or the Twelve
Heavenly Generals. They are the protective deities of the Buddha of
Healing or the Medicine Buddha, Yakishi Nyurai. They originated in
India, but in other countries they are believed to be the attendants of
an Armor-clad God or Warrior that protects the righteous.

Silka Seaview Hotel is conveniently located near the Jade Market & Temple Street Market. It's just only less than 5 minutes walk to Yau Ma Tei MTR Station. We've booked to this hotel because it's the cheapest of all the hotels around this area. During daytime, the streets looks normal, but when night time comes, it turns into a very busy market.
