Paoay Lake: A Legendary Lake

Locally called dakkel danum, which means large body of water.  It is a legendary lake because of the interesting and enchanting history passed upon by forefathers to present generations.
Legend said that this lake was formed, as punishment to the early settlers who were very religious, but turned wicked. Their act was punished by the Gods and submerged the place turning it into a large body water. Some of the locales also said that this lake eats people.  There were events that people went there to swim and never came back.

This is best viewed from the terrace of the Malacanang of the North; a very solemn and scenic view. You can the locales if you want to sail on the lake.
